Professor Dancy suggested Walton Ford (Art 21 Series) as a reference for strange animal creation, and his work, along with that of Aaron Johnson has inspired me to creatively experiment with strange animal/beasts on my map as a grounding for the world. I plan to layer over these doodles with city designs and landmarks and things, but for now, I am using the map as an outlet for letting go creatively in ink.
